New Frontiers Employment Service

New Frontiers, a division of The Arc of Pike County, is an employment service that assists people with disabilities ranging from developmental disabilities to all types {of } physical disabilities which may restrict the ability to work, to secure employment in the community. Many of these individuals have never been employed, while some can no longer do their job due to a disability.

Our Job Placement Coordinator works with clients referred by the State of Indiana’s Vocational Rehabilitation program. Clients are assisted in job search, resume development, and interviewing skills. Our staff will also assist with referrals to local social service agencies, assist in filling out and submitting applications, job coaching, and employment retention.

There are incentives offered to employers who hire individuals with disabilities. They include Vocational Rehabilitation programs such as Work Experience, OJT (on the job training), WOTC (work opportunity tax credit). The Arc of Pike County also provides job coaching in order to assist the new employee in learning the skills of his/her new job.
