The Arc of Pike County offers supported living services through our residential program. The supported living service is funded through the Medicaid Waiver and provides care to individuals living in their own home or apartment. Programming can be minimal hours per month up to 24/7 care, depending on the needs of the individual. Those served in this program most often have a roommate and sometimes two to three.
The individuals served in the supported living program are “supported” so that they live as independently as possible. Residents are encouraged and assisted to learn to manage their own finances, do their shopping, keep their place of living clean, work, and participate in social activities. An on staff nurse assists with the medical needs of those in the supported living program.
